The story of Chin’s doesn’t begin with a recipe; it begins with a bond. Our co-founder, Peter Chin, was more than just a friend to the legendary Bruce Lee, as he was his “last disciple.”
In the 1970s, amidst the focused intensity of training, a deep brotherhood was formed. It was a friendship built on the principles of Jeet Kune Do: simplicity, directness, and soul. While the world knew Bruce Lee as a global icon of martial arts, Peter knew him as a brother who valued authenticity above all else.
A Philosophy of Discipline
Bruce Lee famously said, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”
At Chin’s, we apply that same relentless discipline to our craft. The transition from the training hall to the kitchen was seamless because the core values remained the same:
